Dr
Hugh Peralta is to be invested with the title of cavaliere
ufficiale by the Italian Ambassador to Malta, Alvise Memmo.
He
is being honoured for the services he has been giving to Italy
for the last 20 years, the embassy said.
Dr
Peralta has acted as legal adviser to the embassy since 1983,
offering "indispensable legal assistance not only to many
Italian citizens, who found themselves in difficulty in Malta,
but also to the consular section of the Italian embassy".
The
ceremony is being held at the residence of the Italian
ambassador at noon
tomorrow. (Friday

The
marriage took place on Friday, June 7, at St Gregory the
Great parish church, Sliema, between ROGER, son of Mr and Mrs
Roger J. Strickland of San Pawl tat-Targa, and PAULA,
daughter of Mr and Mrs Tony Zammit of Sliema. The marriage
was celebrated by Fr Alfred Sacco and witnessed by the
groom's uncle, Mr Norbert Miceli Demajo, and the bride's
brother, Mr Michael Zammit. Attending the bride were her
cousins, Miss Nicole Angeli and Miss Anne Tabone. Miss
Michela Miceli Demajo, the groom's cousin, was ring-bearer.
Dr Daniel Aquilina carried out the duties of best man, while
Mr Andrew Strickland, the groom's brother, was master of
ceremonies. The guests were ushered into church by Mr Jeffrey
Miceli Demajo, Mr Anthony Tabone, Mr Edward Bonello and Mr
Michael Grech. A reception was later held at the groom's
residence in San Pawl tat-Targa. The couple are spending
their honeymoon in Rome,
Sorrento,
Paris
and Cannes.

and witnessed by the groom's sister, Dr Veronica Aquilina,
LL.D., and Miss Natalia Preca. The bride was attended by her
sister, Miss Greta Parlato Trigona, as bridesmaid. The Misses
Hannah and Emily Galea were flower-girls and Master Joshua
Parlato Trigona was pageboy. The duties of best man were
carried out by Mr Josef Borg Grech, while Mr Stefan Borg
Grech, Mr Mark Parlato Trigona and Mr Peter Ripard, acted as
ushers. An evening reception was held at Le Méridien Phoenicia
(Bastion Pool). The couple spent their honeymoon on a
Mediterranean cruise and in Northern Italy.
