The Noble Family of Mombron

This family is listed as a noble family in “Descrittione di Malta” (1647).

“Essendo morta l’anno 1514, Imperia figluola di Giovanni di Bordino fanciulla, ch’ haveva in feudo oncie dodici d’asignatione sopra la regia Secrezia di Malta, succede’a lei ex pacto et providential Principis  Don Pietro de Mombron Cherico, il quale hebbe l’investitura per se, e suoi eredi da lui legittimamente discendenti, dal Vicere’ Don Ugone di Moncata a’ 18 d’Agosto 1514. Per morte poi del Re’ Ferdinando, esso di Mombron torna a ricevere l’investitura da Don Gio de Luna Presidente del Regno a’ 11 di Gennaro 1517. Finalmente volendo il detto Don Pietro dotare una sua nipote figluola di sorella, la resigno’ quello feudo, pigliandone lei, & il marito Antonio Xeberras l’investitura dal Conte allora di Monteleone Vicere’ di Sicilia a’ 22 di Gennaro 1519, come registrata si vede nell reg. 1.3.1.1. Isabella Sceberras, married Antonio de Barberi, with issue.
1.3.2. Isabella d'Avello, married James Antonio d'Armenia, 2nd Baron di Baccari, Baron di Benuwarred
