Buzzi (Busi) of Rome and Velletri Research

The titles of Buzzi and Ranieri were of Italian creation, still in research in
origins. Though the daughter of Count Ciaracio Buzzi KM and Countess Maria
Ranieri of Velletri marriage to Pietro Paolo Testaferrata Abela, the 5th Baron
di Gomerino (See Gomerino) acquired the Maltese descendants, Her descendants are
many.
The houses of Buzzi and Ranieri seen to be both extinct, and presently is
claimed by a descendant of the 5th Baron di Gomerino and Countess Teresa Buzzi-Rainier
as the deJure Count.
From research the ancestors are very much connected to the Italian and Papacy
Princely families and much of the Medieval Royalty in Italy and Europe.
The house of Buzzi comes from Rome and was associated to the Knights of the
Order of St John.
The Rainieri Family were Marquis's di Sorbello and Counts di Montegualandro and
Civitella Ranieri, Patricans of Perugia and Nobles of Velletri. This family can
claim descendants to 1395 with Ruggero Can Ranieri and the present family use
the surname of Ranieri Bourbon del Monte

With the above statement in mind, the Maltese branch could
succeed with the primogeniture line of CONTE BUSI (BUZZI) and each member style
with the honour on ?Don? and ?Donna? respectfully. No mention of the title in
the Libro d?Oro della Nobilta Italiana 2000-04, so we can assume that the title
is dormant or extinct.
