1878 Correspondence Commissioners report
This
page has changed to incorporate all titles of Malta
and those created outside Malta.
It shall link those that are now extinct and those that are presently inherited
by the present nobility. Also note that these titles are according to merits
of research and grants by a reigning Sovereign. The Malta Year Book does not
report accurately which its Author, has duly noted, researchers in and
outside Malta and the Sovereign and Military Order of St John of Malta
(SMOM).
Note
that titles granted by Sovereign Monarchs to Maltese citizens and their
descendants are welcomed with corresponding data to reflect such evidence.
1. The Maltese
Titles created from the Grand Masters of Malta. (The list of
Titleholders and successors from the last creation to the first.)
2. Foreign Titles created to those of Maltese connections. (A list of Title holders from most recent to the most earliest.)
3. Maltese Titles created before the
Knights of Malta.
4.
Noble fiefs originating in Malta before
(i.e. before 1530) the rule of the Grand Masters of the Order of Saint John
(including references to relative grants and acts of succession)
4a.
Non-Maltese Nobiliary
which were registered during the reign (1530-1798) of the Grand Masters who
ruled Malta (including references to relative grants and acts of succession)
4b.
