APAP BOLOGNA. On February 15, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARIELLA née Stilon, aged 62, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved parents Joan and Rudolph Stilon, her son Paul, her daughter Louisa and her husband Simon Debono, her grandchildren Steven, Sophie and Joe, her brothers Vittore and his wife Patricia, Philip and his wife Simone, nephews, nieces and cousins. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Saturday, February 20, at 10am, for Ta’ Xbiex parish church, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 10.30am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations on her behalf to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, would be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

DE SALIS. On February 14, BERNARD PETER, aged 84, passed away very peacefully. Greatly loved husband of Monica, father of Piers and Hugo and grandfather of Max, Sam, Amelie and Sukie. Private cre-mation with close family only. A service to celebrate his life will be announced in due course.

Artist John Borg Manduca, best known for his dreamy seascape canvases, has died aged 86. 
He was the widower of Josephine, nee Camilleri, and leaves behind his sons Juan and Stefan.

ATTARD MONTALTO. On February 2, at Good Samaritan Hospital, ADRIENNE, née Olivieri Munroe, passed away peacefully. She will be greatly missed by her sons John and his wife Joyce, Michael and his wife Maryse and her beloved grandchildren John Luke and Joanna. She also leaves to mourn her loss her brother-in-law Hugh Naudi and her sister-in-law Caroline Olivieri Munroe, as well as other relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated today, Wednesday, February 3, at 7.30am, at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery chapel. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

CREMONA. On December 24, Chief Justice Emeritus Professor JOHN JOSEPH, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family and comforted by the rites of Holy Mother Church. He leaves to mourn his deep loss his son Antony, his daughters Anne, wife of Andrew Leonard Abrahams and Mary, wife of John Samut-Tagliaferro, his beloved grandchildren Hannah, Jessica, Aloisia and George, his sisters-in-law Ena Cremona, Miriam Cremona, Cecilia Bellier and Gladys Zammit-Tabona, his many nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends.
The funeral Mass will take place today, Wednesday, December 30, at 9.30am, at Tarxien parish church, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

The Noble Mr PETER TESTAFERRATA MORONI VIANI and Ms SARAH SCHEMBRI WISMAYER BUSUTTIL

The private nuptial Mass was celebrated by Fr Brendan Mark Gatt on Saturday, December 19, 2020, at Santa Caterina d’Italia church, Valletta, between PETER, son of the Most Noble Peter Paul and Theresa Testaferrata Moroni Viani, and SARAH, daughter of Ms Louiana Busuttil and Dr Mark Schembri Wismayer. The ceremony was witnessed by the bride’s sister, Audrey Schembri Wismayer Busuttil and the groom’s sister, Sarah Ciantar Testaferrata Moroni Viani. The duties of best man were carried out by Mark Testaferrata Moroni Viani. May love and laughter fill their hearts and their home.

CILIA LA CORTE. On December 12, at Mater Dei Hospital, HELEN of Pembroke, aged 67, went to meet the Risen Lord comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her daughter Martine and her husband Duncan, her grandchildren Zachary and Catrina, her sisters Marisa, Isabelle and Nadine, their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Tuesday, December 15, at 8.30am, for Sacro Cuor parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. No flowers by request but donations on her behalf to Puttinu Cares would be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

VELLA. On November 4, at Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre, Msida, the Noble NATHALIE, née Dei Marchesi Testaferrata de Noto, fifth daughter of the late Marchese Emmanuele and Pauline, née Calleja of Tarxien, residing in Paola, aged 59, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, after a long illness borne with fortitude. She leaves to mourn her irreparable loss her dear husband Raymond, her sons James and his wife Daphne, and Ian and her precious granddaughters Jade and Emma; her sisters and brother, amongst whom Mother Abbess, Sr Maria Adeodata Testaferrata de Noto, OSB, of Mdina (Catherine); her father-in-law and mother-in-law Paul and Antonia; her sisters-in-law and their families, many nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Saturday, November 7, at 9.30am, for the Metropolitan Cathedral, Mdina, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 10am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. May the Lord grant her eternal rest she deserves so much.
