MIFSUD MONTANARO. On March 26, FRANCIS, long residing in Rome, aged 95, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Erminia née Malavasi, his brother George, his sister Joyce, nephew and nieces, many other relatives and friends. The funeral will be held today, Tuesday, March 30, in the church of Santo Stefano del Cacco, Rome, at 11am. Lord, grant him eternal rest in your heavenly Kingdom.

SCHRANZ. On March 25, one day after his 68th birthday, at Mater Dei Hospital, LOUIS went to meet the risen Lord comforted by the rites of The Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his devoted wife, Simone née Grima, his only daughter Celine and her boyfriend Paul Borg Cardona, his brother Antoine and his family, the family of his late brother Joe, and Simone’s brothers and sisters together with their families, among other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège will leave Mater Dei Hospital today, Friday, March 26 at 10.30am for Addolorata Chapel where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 11am followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetary. No flowers by request but donations to Puttinu Cares or id-Dar tal-Providenza will be greatly appreciated. The family would like to give special thanks to the dedicated staff at Mater Dei, especially the ITU ward, for their special care and attention. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

SAMMUT ALESSI. On March 20, TONY, of Birkirkara, aged 72, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Loved and remembered by his wife Carmen, his daughters Sandra and her partner Mario, Rachel, his grandchildren Justine and Neil, his brother, brothers- and sisters-in-law, their respective spouses, all other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Monday, March 22, at 10am for St Helen’s Basilica, Birkirkara, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 10.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Marija Addolorata Cemetery. She leaves to mourn her loss her devoted and beloved son Simon, her brothers Adrian and Mark and her sisters Maureen and Karin and their respective families, Peter’s other children Philip, Victor and Sarah and their families, Irene, her nephews and nieces and the rest of her family and her many friends. The funeral cortège leaves St James Capua, Sliema tomorrow, Saturday, March 6, at 9.15 for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9.30am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved parents Joan and Rudolph Stilon, her son Paul, her daughter Louisa and her husband Simon Debono, her grandchildren Steven, Sophie and Joe, her brothers Vittore and his wife Patricia, Philip and his wife Simone, nephews, nieces and cousins. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Saturday, February 20, at 10am, for Ta’ Xbiex parish church, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 10.30am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. She will be greatly missed by her sons John and his wife Joyce, Michael and his wife Maryse and her beloved grandchildren John Luke and Joanna. She also leaves to mourn her loss her brother-in-law Hugh Naudi and her sister-in-law Caroline Olivieri Munroe, as well as other relatives and friends. CREMONA. On December 24, Chief Justice Emeritus Professor JOHN JOSEPH, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family and comforted by the rites of Holy Mother Church. He leaves to mourn his deep loss his son Antony, his daughters Anne, wife of Andrew Leonard Abrahams and Mary, wife of John Samut-Tagliaferro, his beloved grandchildren Hannah, Jessica, Aloisia and George, his sisters-in-law Ena Cremona, Miriam Cremona, Cecilia Bellier and Gladys Zammit-Tabona, his many nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends.
The funeral Mass will take place today, Wednesday, December 30, at 9.30am, at Tarxien parish church, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

The private nuptial Mass was celebrated by Fr Brendan Mark Gatt on Saturday, December 19, 2020, at Santa Caterina d’Italia church, Valletta, between PETER, son of the Most Noble Peter Paul and Theresa Testaferrata Moroni Viani, and SARAH, daughter of Ms Louiana Busuttil and Dr Mark Schembri Wismayer. The ceremony was witnessed by the bride’s sister, Audrey Schembri Wismayer Busuttil and the groom’s sister, Sarah Ciantar Testaferrata Moroni Viani. The duties of best man were carried out by Mark Testaferrata Moroni Viani. May love and laughter fill their hearts and their home.

VELLA. On November 4, at Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre, Msida, the Noble NATHALIE, née Dei Marchesi Testaferrata de Noto, fifth daughter of the late Marchese Emmanuele and Pauline, née Calleja of Tarxien, residing in Paola, aged 59, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, after a long illness borne with fortitude. She leaves to mourn her irreparable loss her dear husband Raymond, her sons James and his wife Daphne, and Ian and her precious granddaughters Jade and Emma; her sisters and brother, amongst whom Mother Abbess, Sr Maria Adeodata Testaferrata de Noto, OSB, of Mdina (Catherine); her father-in-law and mother-in-law Paul and Antonia; her sisters-in-law and their families, many nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Saturday, November 7, at 9.30am, for the Metropolitan Cathedral, Mdina, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 10am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. May the Lord grant her eternal rest she deserves so much.

Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated today, Wednesday, July 22, at 2pm, at St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.
